1.)ACM ICPC

What Is ACM ICPC?

The ACM ICPC is considered as the "Olympics of Programming Competitions". It is quite simply, the oldest, largest, and most prestigious programming contest in the world.
The ACM-ICPC (Association for Computing Machinery - International Collegiate Programming Contest) is a multi-tier, team-based, programming competition. Headquartered at Baylor University, Texas, it operates according to the rules and regulations formulated by the ACM.
The contest participants come from over 2,000 universities that are spread across 80 countries and six continents.

How Can I Participate - Eligibility

To meet the basic eligibility requirements for the contest you must be:

  • Willing and able to compete in the world finals
  • Enrolled in a degree program at an institution (in or outside India) that can sponsor you
  • Competing only for one institution for the calendar year
  • You should not have participated in more than 2 contest finals prior to this attempt
  • You should not have participated in more than 5 contest regionals prior to this attempt
  • You cannot participate in more than 2 teams in the same year
  • You cannot participate at more than 2 regionals in the same year (for Asia region)


Contest Format

  • It is a team contest.
  • Each team should have three members and one reserve (3 + 1).
  • Each team must be headed by a coach, who must be a university faculty or staff member.
  • The coach can head multiple teams
  • The contest can have several problems (8 to 10 in general), of varying difficulty levels and mostly being algorithmic in nature.

2.)GOOGLE CODE JAM

CODE JAM

Google's Code Jam returns for the 14th year as one of the most challenging programming competitions in the world. The contest consists of multiple rounds of algorithmic puzzles, culminating in the World Finals at Google's office in Dublin, Ireland. Register before the Online Qualification Round on April 7 at 23:00 UTC.


What's Involved In Code Jam?


Code jam begins with a qualification round taking on April 7,2017@23:00 UTC.The round is available for 27hours.
Next multiple online rounds lead to the CodeJam World Finals during which the top 25 Code Jammers and last year's champion will compete for the title of CodeJam World Champion and a Grand Prize of $15,000.

The Google APAC 2017 University Test ("Test") is an online test designed to look for young talent majoring in Computer Science and related fields, to further engage with and determine interview eligibility at Google.

4.)FACEBOOK HACKERCUP

HACKER CUP

The Facebook Hacker Cup competition ("Competition") is an international competition provided by Facebook, Inc. ("Facebook") to engage programmers in algorithmic programming, leveraging Facebook's features and services made available through its website at www.facebook.com and other Facebook branded and co-branded websites (including sub-domains, international versions, widgets, and mobile versions) (the "Facebook Service").
Prizes will be awarded to competitors who have the highest scores on a series of programming problems, as described below. The Competition will be held in a series of rounds online between January 6, 2017 and January 28, 2017, with the onsite final round held at a Facebook office (to be determined).
Facebook Hacker Cup is an international programming competition hosted and administered by Facebook. The competition began in 2011 as a means to identify top engineering talent for potential employment at Facebook.

The competition consists of a set of algorithmic problems which must be solved in a fixed amount of time. Competitors may use any programming language and development environment to write their solutions

Eligibility

This Competition is open to individuals who are registered users of the Facebook Service, have agreed to these Terms, and are at least 18 years of age or older on the date of Registration for the Competition. The Competition is void in Quebec and where prohibited by law. Individuals and entities located in a country embargoed by the United States, listed on the U.S. Treasury Department's list of Specially Designated Nationals, or restricted by applicable export controls and sanctions programs are ineligible to participate in the Competition.
